About Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration (NASFA)
Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration (NASFA) is the training arm of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps (NAFC) and one of the institutions saddled with the responsibility of providing administrative manpower for the Nigerian Army. The school was established with the preliminary objective of training Pay and Records Clerks. It was started in 1956 when a departmental coaching course was arranged for a set of newly posted recruits from Nigerian Regiment Training Centre Zaria in Room 26 District Pay Office, later known NAPCTS.
The then NAPCTS later became an AHQ recognized institution in 1968. From a department coaching Centre it was later extended to run more courses for NAPC personnel under a British Warrant Officer Symon and later by a Nigerian Warrant Officer Edem who retired as a Captain from the NA.
The School’s name was transformed from NAPCTS to NASFA on 1 November 1981. Over the years, the School has go through changes both in command, scope and academics. NASFA has transformed from its original function of basic training of soldiers to full-fledged institution of higher learning as a Monotechnic in 1978. The School was duly accredited by the NBTE to run courses leading to award of ND and HND in Accountancy in 1985 and Secretarial Studies in 1992. The Accountancy Department of the School was also given recognition by the ICAN in 1987.

NASFA Admission Requirement
To gain Admission into Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration, A student must be a serving personnel in the Armed Forces or any other security agencies who satisfies the following educational requirements:
National Diploma.
Prospective students seeking for admission into Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration National Diploma (ND) programme are expected to have a minimum of five (5) credits at not more than two (2) sittings in Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), West African School Certificates (WASC), General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Levels and Grade II Certificate which should include credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.
Higher National Diploma (HND).
Prospective students seeking admission into Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration HND programe must satisfy:
- The entry requirements for National Diploma Programme.
- Must have undergone a one year supervised industrial training, and must possess the National Diploma Certificate with at least a lower credit (CGPA 2.50 and above).
- In exceptional cases ND graduands with a pass (CGPA 2.00 2.49) and has two or more years of cognate experience may be considered for admission into the HND programme. The number of such candidates should not exceed 10% of the number of students in the class.
- Candidates with ICAN-ATS qualifying Certificate are also eligible.
